Sue Hebert oral history series, 1979.

This series documents the local history of the Atchafalaya Basin area, including Plaquemine, Bayou Sorrel, and Bayou Chene in Iberville and Saint Martin Parishes. Interviewees discuss lumbering, ginning moss, the Plaquemine locks, harvesting sugarcane, and social life and customs of the area in the early twentieth century.
